Punjab National Bank has hiked interest rates on term deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. Deposits of 7 to 45 days will now earn 3 per cent interest instead of 2.9 per cent. No change in interest rate on 46-90 day deposits. It will continue to earn interest at 3.25 per cent. The interest rate on 91- to 179-day deposits has been reduced from 3.8 per cent to 4 per cent. The interest rate on 1- to 2-year deposits has been reduced from 5 per cent to 5.1 per cent. The interest rate on 2- to 3-year deposits has been maintained at 5.1 per cent.
